My hot wife had her birthday on the weekend, so we partied it up! We had a whole day of eating planned, but only just made it through to lunch with that. . . . stuffed ourselves silly!
Its Sunday afternoon so I'm having a lazy one going through my photos and cleaning up the computer. Found some cool shots we took the other day when we made Mexican Chocolate Meringues. I had a craving for meringue, as you do, and I found this sweet recipe. I was rather excited about these as you cannot go wrong with a combination of meringue, chocolate (fair trade of course!) & cinnamon. But I managed to stuff up and leave out a few crucial ingredients, ending up in a runny meringue mixture, ending up in us having to use cupcake trays to try and give the meringue some shape. Complete disaster, but what we recovered tasted awesome!

So we had our 1 yr wedding anniversary the other day! So we spent a few days out in the hunter valley to celebrate, we had an awesome time. If you are ever going out there and want a quiet/secluded/awesome place to stay, then look up 'sincero'. Its our second time there and we cant get enough of it. Hunter valley is so cool, great views, great food & wine....good times! I promised Sarah that the next camera we got would be hers, so she scored the new 5D mkII......dang....

So we had Sarah's brother Josh come back from Japan for a week and we decided to play some French cricket on the beach for some quality family time! We had so much fun, I haven't played that game in years. It also helped that we were playing at the most beautiful time of the day, the light was awesome (I do love my light......)!

My awesome wife got me tickets for xmas to see Coldplay in Sydney! We had a crazy good time, except the support bands were boring..... (though I did love decoder ring's videos).....we got a sweet spot in the crowd, right on the fence, so we were happy!

Back in October I had the awesome experience of getting to not only meet my favourite photographer in the whole damn world, but I got to hang out with Him for 2 days! His name is Jeremy Cowart, he is from Nashville, check out his stuff if you dont know him www.jeremycowart.com. Jeremy was in Sydney shooting the passion world tour. I was the official 'tour guide' as such, was a pretty surreal time for me. Jeremy and his assistant Daniel were such top blokes, very chilled out, generous, welcoming......The most surreal time was spending an hour in the hottub with Jeremy, on the roof of the hotel, looking over the city, talking about photography and life, kinda crazy for me... [sorry I didnt get a photo of this :)].....oh and also the time eating dinner backstage at the passion night, sitting in a room next to Jeremy, got Chris Tomlin over to my right, Dave Crowder over on the left, Loui Giglio behind me, I soaked that up......and getting photographed by jeremy, that was cool.....
I had such a killer time, I was incredibly inspired, was cool to have them encourage me so much and give me direction in my own work.
