Well its actually only a stress fracture, but broken foot sounds better....My foot has been killing me for 4 months now, no reason why, so I got a bone scan the other day, found out its broken.....Now I have to wear a 'boot' for 2 months, yay!.........
Back in October I had the awesome experience of getting to not only meet my favourite photographer in the whole damn world, but I got to hang out with Him for 2 days! His name is Jeremy Cowart, he is from Nashville, check out his stuff if you dont know him www.jeremycowart.com. Jeremy was in Sydney shooting the passion world tour. I was the official 'tour guide' as such, was a pretty surreal time for me. Jeremy and his assistant Daniel were such top blokes, very chilled out, generous, welcoming......The most surreal time was spending an hour in the hottub with Jeremy, on the roof of the hotel, looking over the city, talking about photography and life, kinda crazy for me... [sorry I didnt get a photo of this :)].....oh and also the time eating dinner backstage at the passion night, sitting in a room next to Jeremy, got Chris Tomlin over to my right, Dave Crowder over on the left, Loui Giglio behind me, I soaked that up......and getting photographed by jeremy, that was cool.....
I had such a killer time, I was incredibly inspired, was cool to have them encourage me so much and give me direction in my own work.

I shot this wedding a couple of months back. Was such a fun/original wedding, have never seen before a bride leave the ceremony,wading out into a lake with gumboots on, to peddle her way across the lake to the afternoon tea.

A month back I had the great privilege of shooting Eddie Cross's 14 Hour Day for Disability. I have become good mates with Ed over the past few months as he has prepared for his big day. For those of you who don't know, Ed was one of Newcastle's leading photographers when a few years ago he was brain damaged during a game of AFL. Ed wanted to give something back to the clinics that supported him during his amazing recovery, so he decided to do a 14 hour triathalon to raise the money. The day was amazing to be a part of, super inspiring to witness, Ed raised over $60,000 and still counting. Decided to try a night shoot in town, so I called up my good buddy G and got him to come out with his lady friend. Tough shooting at night armed with only a hotshoe flash......This is my favourite from the night.

I did this pre wedding shoot a few months back now. One of my first ones, was a lot of fun with this couple. A bizarre thing happened on this shoot. In the photo above you can see a tanker called 'queen lily', we were taking photos and this ship goes by and Liz tells me that's what her Dad called her when she was young, so we had to get a shot with it. Kinda random....Hey welcome to my first ever blog post! should be fun.....I will be uploading a whole heap of new images and stuff over the next couple of days, have been meaning to do this for a while, so will have a few months worth of work & news.
